Happy & Healthy
Products, Inc. is a member of the growing list of
participants in the Veterans Transition Franchise Initiative
(VetFran), a program designed to aid veterans in becoming
small-business owners and ease their entry into the
rapidly-growing sector.
Happy & Healthy
Products, Inc. has best captured the fun and flexible
aspects of running a home-based business with their
franchise opportunity. A Happy & Healthy franchise is a
fun, wholesale distribution business that can be run full or
part time right from your own home. Currently, franchisees
in over 39 states and Puerto Rico are proud to distribute
H&H’s 100% natural and delicious products to their customers
– products such as the 24 different varieties of Fruitfull®
frozen fruit bars, the highly acclaimed Happy Indulgence®
Decadent Dips and
our exotic varieties of Be Happy & Healthy®
Snacks and delicious Breads & Cookies.
The International
Franchise Association (IFA), the trade group that represents
the franchise community, has enlisted more than 60 franchise
companies that have agreed to lower their franchise fees.
Happy & Healthy is proud to be one of these franchise
companies that actively supports the IFA in their efforts to
aid veterans in becoming a small-business owners. For
example, a veteran acquiring a Happy & Healthy franchise
with a total initial investment of
$40,586 might obtain an SBA loan for up to 85 percent or
$33,846.15. The franchisor would contribute a portion of
the franchise fee (in this case
$1990.95 –9.5% of
$23,000) as
equity so the veteran could acquire the franchise with a
down payment of $3981.90 or 10
percent.
IFA has gained the
support of the U.S. Department of Veterans Affairs, the U.S.
Small Business Administration and several veterans’
organizations for VetFran. Earlier this year, Veterans
Affairs Deputy Secretary Leo S. Mackay signed a Memorandum
of Understanding with the association to promote franchise
ownership among former military personnel.
