The Best Thing about this Business to Me
is:
DEAR LINDA -
The best thing that this business has done for me:
is it has helped me to purchase a new custom home and a new 18 foot freezer truck. The truck will help my business prosper and grow!!!
Fred and Rhea Steyer
The Best Thing about
this business to Me is:
It gives me such an opportunity & good feeling
to meet so many wonderful people at all locations either a store manager, storeowner and
the helpful H&H employee. It keeps my energy going even on a bad-snowing day. I
certainly have my own choice of time to choose where I want to go and whom I want to see
at any particular day.
With
the incentive plan such as Push the Pallet 2000. It gives me the opportunity to grow my
business and make extra income along the way plus a free hotel room at the convention.
Linda,
I am glad I asked you to give me a challenge. I know you will come up with a good one to
benefit all the franchisees. Thank you and see you at the convention

Dear Linda,
A wonderful thing about the Fruitfull® business is the opportunity to get a kick in the
pants with a "Kick Start" week....
Ms. Susan Scotts
Happy & Healthy Products, Inc.

Boca Raton, FL 33432
Dear Susan,
65+ degrees and sunny ... 18 below zero (with the windchill). How did you want to
spend the week before Christmas? "Tweety Bird" (my earmuffs) and I are
sure glad you chose the latter and came to Cleveland to give us a Kick Start!
That crazy "road map" I prepared for your visit took us from the airport and the
longest presentation you could remember to the grocery chain you brought to me from your
directory listing. We had a lot of twists and turns along the way, but not too many
bumps. We managed to get to all of our appointments with time to spare! Even
helped Garfield get to Santa's sleigh in time for Christmas Eve (at a Toys for Tots
dropoff point).
Be Happy & Healthy™ Snacks are super! Now northeast Ohio will learn all about
them. They ARE easy to sell, aren't they?
The Kick Start Program -- it's awesome, just like the Arabica (coffeeshop) manager
described our Coconut Fruitfull® bar. But we already knew that!
God bless you and yours this holiday season.
Best wishes for a fruitful new millenium!

Dear Linda,
Entry #2 The Best Thing About This Business to me is
Learned to overcome one of my great fears: "Bees"?????.
To explain.
One account is summer only and located outside. A small concession stand
where customers approach a window to order. It is staffed by one employee. A
Fruitfull freezer is inside the stand with a menu board outside listing all
flavors available. On one particular visit, a swarm of bees was both inside
and outside the stand. I felt so sorry for the young girl who was working
there. I then realized, how am I going to get in there to fill up the
freezer when I'm deathly afraid of bees. My first inclination was to tell
the young girl: there's my truck, go get whatever you need and I'll wait
here. But this is not how my wonderful marketing consultant taught me how to
conduct business, and I truly knew its not really the right way to service an
account. So, I quietly walked into the stand (shaking all over) and told the
girl (while trying to look cool), "don't bother them and they won't bother
you". Yeah right; where did I hear that before. I checked what was
needed,
went back to the truck, returned and filled the freezer faster than a
speeding bullet. I said goodbye, wished her good luck and told her to be
careful.
At my old job I would have called the boss and told him to come service this
account. But with this my own business, I persevered and conquered (at least
'til the next time) my fear of bees.
Thanks,
Jeff and Nancy

Linda,
Here's my contest entry for this week. I hope everyone enjoys the
ADVENTURES as much as I do.
The best thing about being a Fruitfull® Franchisee is that every day is an
ADVENTURE.
Most recently, we have been experiencing the Alaskan ADVENTURE : sub zero
weather, beautiful falling snow, arctic wildlife viewing (actually just a
big dog covered with snow), 3 foot high snow drifts, more beautiful falling
snow, driving your vehicle through the snow drifts with snow flying in
rainbow arcs through the air, sliding gracefully along the ice learning to
do twirls and twists (unfortunately these are all done with your delivery
vehicle) and of course, more falling snow (no longer beautiful). The
Alaskan ADVENTURE !
Then there is the International ADVENTURE . The day spent visiting the
exotic ports of India (Indian Grocery Store), Pakistan (Pakistani Grocery
Store), and Mexico (Hispanic Restaurant). The International ADVENTURE !
Or maybe the Rain Forest ADVENTURE . As you travel through the thick
tropical vegetation (hordes of little gymnastic girls wearing all the colors
of the rainbow) looking for that rare find (loose change dropped into the
bottom of your freezer), 102 degrees outside, but not to worry, because you
will soon be cooled by one of the sudden tropical downpours (leaving you
soaked for the rest of the day). The Rain Forest ADVENTURE !.
The Disney World ADVENTURE . The festival atmosphere (your retail event at
the annual Hot Dog Festival), riding on Dumbo the Elephant (going round and
round your downtown account trying to find a parking place), the thrill of
Space Mountain, (locating week with MJ), and exotic food finds at Epcot
(requests for a cucumber and pepper Fruitfull® Bar). The Disney World
ADVENTURE !
The Vegas ADVENTURE . Playing the slot machines and winning the jackpot
(entering H&H contests and winning prizes!), the dazzling shows (Conventions
& Symposiums), and numerous side tours to interesting destinations (tour of
Ex Corde Enterprises). The Vegas ADVENTURE !
Whatever ADVENTURE you seek; it's available as a Fruitfull® Franchisee!

DICK & KATHY DYER
Dear Linda,
Just today I read the newsletter for the first time, and I must say, it really is
excellent! I've been busy with precious Joseph, and our ancient computer freezes up on us,
so I haven't been able to go online from home. Thankfully, Mom has a computer; thus I am
online today.
I especially enjoyed "Message from the President." It went straight to my heart,
and pretty much summarized many of the feelings I've had lately, and my struggles to stay
positive about the business. Which leads me to my answer to the question "The Best
Thing About this Business to Me is:", and here it is:
The best thing about this business to me is, without a doubt, the caring, tremendous
support and family spirit of the staff at Happy & Healthy Products. This has been the
one true constant since we began our business almost five years ago. We've struggled
through many different problems, and haven't always felt very positive about what we were
doing. But as your message stated, the most important element of success is a positive
attitude, something which I can always count on from the staff at H&H.
You know me, and you know that I speak sincerely from the heart. Anthony & I are
tremendously grateful for you and the staff's constancy and hard work. Having both worked
in other companies, we find the good spirit in H&H delightfully surprising and
exceptional, especially compared to the "dog eat dog" attitude so prevalent
almost everywhere you go.
Thank you again for inspiring me to "do what I should do," and again look for
that enthusiasm that got us started in this business in the first place!
With gratitude to you and all at Happy & Healthy,

Subject: The Best Thing About this Business is:
I re-read the suggested ideas outlined in the contest and guess I hadn't
responded before now because you pretty well had all our reasons down.
There is one, besides getting the best support from the franchisor, that
came to my mind today.
One of the best things about this business....are the "Symposiums and
Conventions!" Many small businesses like ours don't get the opportunity for
everyone in the business to attend the events. No matter what level a
franchisee is, everyone is welcomed to H&H events with open arms and
information is shared freely. It's not based on whether you won a contest
or sold a certain level of product.
You can be a beginner or 'old timer', a retailer or truckload master
distributor, or just interested in checking out the business for future
investment. H&H welcomes you to take a closer look, learn more and develop
at a rate that is best for the individual. H&H is interested in our goals
and what we want to do with our business. Naturally, the better we all do,
the better H&H does and Linda seems to always keep that in mind.
So after (or maybe before) all those other reasons, during this cold weather
we're having here today, a trip to Southern California sounds wonderful (and
it's tax deductible!) See you there!

The best thing about this business to me is:
Unusually friendly franchisees
Incredibly helpful Happy and Healthy Staff
Uncommonly good fruit bar
Have a great day and we will see you in L.A.
Linda,
I can't figure out how I did it, but somehow I missed the information on the Motivate
the Staff, Motivate Yourself Contest. So I'm guessing that I need to answer the question,
"The best thing about this business is . . .", and I would not want to miss any
contest. So here goes:
The best thing about this business is the ability to spend time with my family. Time at
home, time at school activities, and time while doing Fruitfull together. Here is one of
the for instances: "Abby is 5, so while her three siblings are in school we spend
time together. One beautiful fall day we walked hand in hand across the creek, heard a
frog croaking beside the bank, threw sticks off of one side of the bridge and watched to
see whose came out the other side first, and found beautiful red, yellow, purple and brown
fall leaves that we brought in and saved because they were the "best leaves
ever!". I never had time to do that before, and every mother should. I'm glad that I
can now, and the added bonus is that I do this while still bringing in an income. What
more can anyone ask for!
Judy

Linda,
I've been submitting all of my reasons why I like to be a Fruitfull®
Franchisee, so I thought that this week I would ask the rest of the people
in my family why it was wonderful to have Mom/Wife be a Fruitfull®
Franchisee. Here are there answers:
Jim: Fun Conventions and Symposiums that allow you to leave Frankfort and
meet a bunch of interesting people from across the US.
New accounts.
More new accounts.
Sam: I get to baby-sit during the summer when Mom's out, so my sisters have
to do whatever I say.
Everyone wants to come to my house for free Fruitfull® Bars.
Kristen: Mom's home more often so she can do things with us at school.
Experimenting with different flavors of slushies and smoothies.
Katye: Helping mom with samplings and eating all the free samples you want.
When you go out with Mom to stock freezers for the day, you get to stop at
McDonald's for lunch.
Abby: The freezer's always full of Fruitfull® Bars.

I was watching The Sound of Music the other day, and it was putting me in a
Favorite Thing mood. So here's my Favorite Things about Fruitfull®, put to

Linda,
The best thing about the Fruitfull® Business is that it is full of small
surprises, for example:
1. Out of the clear blue, in the middle of the winter, you get phone calls
from business people who want you to put a freezer in their business so they
can begin carrying frozen Fruitfull® Bars. Surprise!!
2. Every time you call or email the Home Office someone always answers you
back promptly and enthusiastically. Knowing how busy that everyone is and
that many corporate offices don't come close to this efficiency this is very
much appreciated!!
3. Contests that pop up where everyone who enters wins. I love these kind
of surprises!!
4. Every one in the Home Office Knows you by name. They also know your
husband, your children, your favorite hobbies, how old you are and even have
an uncanny way of knowing when you might need a little pick me up.
5. You land a University Account by a fluke meeting in a grocery store
while you're stocking your freezer - big, big boost for the Fall and Winter!
6. Every day you wake up happy because you know that selling Fruitfull®
Bars is how you make your living and you love it!!

Linda,
My reading of Who Moved My Cheese has helped me discover that
probably all
Fruitfull® Franchisees experienced the search for cheese before they
discovered Fruitfull® and became a Fruitfull® Franchisee. We all, for one
reason or another, decided it was time to go out in the maze and search for
something different. In my case, my cheese was moldy and I needed to find a
supply of fresh, delicious cheese. I was lucky in that my maze search
wasn't very long before I came upon the ample and refreshingly new supply of
cheese that you had built in the Happy and Healthy station of the maze. It
was especially nice to find that station welcoming me with open arms and
filled with many other wonderful and insightful individuals. Individuals
who continually support one another, share new ideas, approach change with
open minds, and continue to increase the variety and size of the cheese
pile. With all that said, I think this shall be my last entry, since I
don't think there's much more that I haven't already expressed. So, here's
a little Valentine Poem for everyone at H&H:
Roses are red
Violets are blue
I can't help it, I just love Fruitfull®
And so should you!
Judy
