Our
Favorite Testimonial |
|
When we received a copy of this letter
in August 1999,
we sent t-shirts and keychains and drink coolies since we liked it so much.
To this day, it is our favorite testimonial.
This letter was
sent to The Center for Science in the Public Interest (CPSI). They are the world
famous food cops, the ones who told us that movie theater popcorn was bad, etc.
(There is a link for their website in our Enjoy the Fruitfull® Life Health and
Nutrition Guide.) Anyway, they publish a great newsletter that we highly recommend
called Nutrition Action Newsletter.
A few weeks earlier, CPSI had printed a story in
their newsletter called "Top Pops." The story illustrated how many
so-called fruit bars are junk, and they included some good ones. But they somehow
left Fruitfull® out of the story. We must not have a franchisee in their
area servicing accounts....We were so disappointed, especially because we have subscribed
to that publication for years.
We were in the process of writing CPSI our own
letter, when we received this copy that a loyal Fruitfull® consumer sent direct
to the writers at CPSI. And you know what? Its even better coming direct from
one of our consumers!
It's a great letter, and so we are proud to present
our 1999 Testimonial of the Year as our favorite testimonial
with congratulations to Chris & Ginger Hill.

Subject: ATTN: Wendy Meltzer & Jayne Hurley -- You forgot a 'Top Pop'
Dear Mss. Meltzer & Hurley:
I enjoy and get much useful information from my subscription to CSPI's Nutrition Action
Newsletter. I was therefore surprised and disappointed to see that in your article
on the best in frozen popsicle type novelties, "The Top Pops" (July/August
1999), you completely overlooked a favorite of mine which is gaining increasing
recognition as an outstanding healthy snack: Fruitfull®, produced by Happy & Healthy
Products, Inc. of Boca Raton, FL.
These pops come in 10-15 excellent flavors --some are straightforward fruit, others are
"creams" -- achieved with milk. By the standards of your article, they
should have been rated a "Top Pop," since their #1 ingredient is large pieces of
the fruit itself-- the coconut has nice, large shavings of coconut at the bottom of the
pop, the strawberry and strawberry cream often contain whole strawberries, and in the
watermelon pops, you can even find a seed or two! The only added sugar is fructose,
which diminishes the glycemic "spike" after eating them -- a most helpful thing
for diabetics like myself.
It is true that one cannot always find them at the large supermarket chains, but that's
true of numerous of the natural products which you rate more highly. One can almost
always find Fruitfull® at 'Natural' supermarkets like Whole Foods or Wild Oats, and at
other dealers (their distribution can be a bit spotty because they franchise it, but
persistence in the search pays off).
I have no affiliation or interest in the company, other than that I love their product.
Check out their Web site at
www.fruitfull.com, and more importantly, find a place where you can buy some. ( I personally
recommend the coconut, strawberry, strawberry cream, and pineapple). I guarantee you won't
forget them again.
Thanks for listening, and keep up the (otherwise) good work!
Best regards,
Chris Hill
